On December 5, 2023, the company's shipping subsidiary Shanghai Hengxin Shipping loaded and shipped 12 straddle transport vehicles for the Chittagong project in Bangladesh, which was carried by Shanghai Port Machinery Heavy Industry. Six 2H and six 4H cross carrier trucks from Chittagong, Bangladesh were loaded onto the ship at Terminal 6 of Shanghai Port Machinery Heavy Industry Changxing Branch. The project is produced and manufactured by Shanghai Port Machinery Heavy Industry, and was officially launched in March 2023. The company's shipping subsidiary, Shanghai Hengxin Shipping, is responsible for sea transportation from Shanghai to Jidagang.
The 12 straddle transport vehicles shipped this time were designed and manufactured based on the actual needs of users in Chittagong, Bangladesh. They were independently developed and controlled by ZPMC straddle transport vehicles, with a lifting capacity of 40 tons and an outer width of 5.1 meters and an inner width of 3.5 meters. The lifting height of the 2H model is 6.3 meters, while the lifting height of the 4H model is 12 meters, making it suitable for different work scenarios. Its superior performance can meet the needs of customers for efficient flow of container goods.This time, the Bangladeshi client purchased a total of 27 equipment, located at 5 ports in the Chittagong area. The subsequent 15 units have also started construction and are being transported according to plan. This will greatly enhance Chittagong's cargo transshipment and handling capacity, and stabilize its position as a regional hub port along the Belt and Road.
